on paint.

The 3rd bedroom in our little blue house is a tricky little fella. That's why there have been no pictures as of yet. Our first step was new carpet...the navy blue smelly, stained carpet wasn't doin' it for us. So we replaced it with beige carpet we found in the leftover section at Home Depot. We also painted...the bottom half is a fresh white wainscoting. And we (temporarily) painted the top half the buttery-light yellow that is in the top half of our kitchen.

Anyhow, like I said it's a tricky room. There are windows covering the top half of 2 walls. There are also 3 doors. It's been sort of the storage/guitar/craft room. There is nothing on the walls and all the furniture in there is unfortunate. So...it's time to give it some life.

Our first plan is to paint the top half of the walls. The room is so... monotone right now. With white wainscoting and lots of windows letting in natural light, we can get away with a bold color. The problem is...I have my favorites and Danny has his. So HELP us!!! What would be your choice?!?

4 left some love:

  1. The dark green in the bottom right corner would look wicked cool with white wainscoting...just sayin, in my humble opinion :)

  2. i'm not gonna lie...i'm a fan of the oranges...especially that burnt orange in the center. think it could be a really fun color for your "storage/guitar/craft" room :) GOOD LUCK!!

  3. I like the burnt orange too. I think that with the white would pop and look really cool especially for the 'creative' room. However, if you're planning on making that the baby room :) in the near future I dunno about that one, kinda tough to paint over if necessary so if that's the case I say go with the light green one, gender neutral, not overwhelming and still really pretty.

  4. thanks, friends! i was a fan of the greens, but after seeing the swatches in the room yesterday I am leaning more toward the oranges! i mean, go big or go home, right? we're heading over to HD to look at more shades tonight. :)
