Do you feel bad for our pup?
We do.
(He's not as happy as he looks. Oh, and can you see the chewed up edges? He's that bored.)
PS Anyone else had experience with a neutered dog? Our vet said 2 weeks with the cone, no walks, and no play. Does that sound about right to you?
Tootsie never had to wear a cone, and I don't know if that is because she is smaller or what but they did say that she needed to take it easy for about 2 weeks: no jumping, rough playing, etc. But keeping the cone on for 2 weeks seems a bit long.. poor little pup. He's so cute. :)
ReplyDeleteoh so sad. I am soo dreading getting Daph fixed! Give den love from me! And I love you too friend!
ReplyDeleteNo playing with other dogs seems the only reasonable restriction. He is an excitable little guy, so I'd be sure to walk him SLOWLY so he doesn't run and jump and hurt himself or get all bouncy around other animals or people. I think he can have the cone off if you guys are sitting with him giving him your full attention. Just don't let him lick. Two weeks is a pretty long time... But hey, I'm just Denver Grandpuppy's Gramma! xoxox
ReplyDelete:( Teddy is not fixed.
ReplyDeleteWe aren't sure what to do about it...
yes? NO?
sigh.
Sorry Denver. Teddy says he loves you.
Aww buddy!!!!
ReplyDeleteI think it depends on if he licks the stiches or not...so no licking= no cone! at least thats the way I see it lol
ReplyDeleteWell boys might be different... i dunno, but Reesie didn't have to wear a cone, the vet did say to make sure to not let her lick the stitches though. He also said for her to take it slow... but she was back to her happy, excitable self two days after surgery. Poor Denver.. but he will be back to normal in no time. :)
ReplyDeletecone for sure when hes crated... no cone if with you and he leaves it alone. but yes... no activity for 2 weeks. poor den!
