About yesterday's "look". We found our pup. I mean a. We found a pup. She is the sweetest thing you've ever seen and I want her real bad. But she is still a baby and isn't up for adoption until Saturday. So Saturday we will wake early and arrive at the shelter with all the other people that want her and hopefully- hopefully- we will get to take her home. Until then, I will keep trying not to call her "ours". (Why did I already name her?)
On another note, here is what's going down at our house for the 3 days that we'll be home...
Tuesday - cobb salad + bread
You'll need: the works. romaine, tomatoes, avocado, cucumber, bacon, chicken, hard boiled egg, cheese, and homemade ranch dressing (because it's so much better). Side note: one time I ordered a cobb salad at a restaurant and a very good friend of mine said, I thought you didn't like fish. Just a reminder, dear friends, it's cobb- not cod. :)
Wednesday - spaghetti + meatballs
You'll need: The obvious.
Thursday - BFD
Every once in a while, you just need some Breakfast For Dinner.
You'll need: Whatever you want...just please not a bowl of cereal. That's pitiful and makes me sad. We're having homemade hash browns, multigrain pancakes, and eggs. Always eggs with my Danny.
Eeee! I can't wait to see her and I hope you get her!!! You're going to love your new addition (if it's her or another pup)!
ReplyDeletei'm so hoping you get that pup.
ReplyDeleteyou'd be so proud of me. i cooked dinner almost every night last week. we had those apple walnut raviolis (yum!), meatball sandwiches (also yum) & a couple of craig's grammie's recipes which are always delish. and i already meal-planned & shopped for this week & we're also having spaghetti & meatballs one night! thanks for the meal inspiration. life changing :)

Eri - I am very proud. Way to go! Shopping and planning and cooking...you're a new woman :) If you ever feel like sharing Grammie's recipes, you can send them my way. I got a vintage recipe box as a wedding present that's just waiting to be filled.
ReplyDeletePuppy? Cooking? You are ultimate wife status. & on regarding fall---I decorated the apartment Friday! We have: an autumn wreath on the door, a string of Autumn leaves, 2 pumpkin spice candles, & autumn leaf table mats that are courderoy! I'm taking pics today of it. Faaaaaaallll!! Whoo hoo!
ReplyDeleteAna..can't wait to see pics! Let's keep a look out for peppermint mocha creamer for each other, ok?
ReplyDeleteI am so excited you might be getting a puppy!! They are hard work but so fun...and nothing prepares you better for parenthood! :) That cobb salad sounds yummy and so does a meatball sandwich. I have been meal planning for 3 years now and it is the best way to save time and money...and sanity when I am just too tired to think about what to make...it is already planned and the pantry is stocked. Proud of you, my favorite newlywed!! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the reference there friend!! I would love some Cob salad...miss you!!
