a confession

It started when a close friend shared with me that she watched the season premier of The Bachelor with her dad, laughing at all the overly-done girls who tried to make lasting first-impressions on the man of the hour.  (fake teeth, knock-knock jokes, a dance lesson...really?)

Anyway, it made me think back to my reality TV shows (which are really as far away from reality as possible) before I got rid of the television channels all together.  So I slipped online, caught the first episode myself, and have been hooked ever since.
Is it wrong that I justify watching this program because all my seminary friends are hooked as well?  Hm...

That being said:
Stephanie is one classy lady.
I think I might want Molly to win.
Maybe...just not Naomi...please, not Naomi.
Doesn't it say something that he has to ask her if she is ready to be a mother?
And her hair hangs like wet spaghetti in her face and it drives me nuts.
And I am a jerk.
And that is all.  I'm done.

8 left some love:

  4. You're a bit behind if all you've seen is episode 1. Kaylyn has been watching since the beginning (you can use her to further justify your obsession). Anyhow, she seems to like Naomi, although we don't think Naomi is the best girl for him. Oh, crap, did I just say "we" and let out the fact that I watch this with her. Just warn Danny that he will end up having to watch (and probably enjoy) retarded shows once you get married. I think the ring does something to guys that causes them to be stupid and start enjoying dumb things because they love their wives. Anyhow, I digress. Kaylyn wanted/wants Molly to "win", but there's some discussion boards talking about how they think he sends someone home and then brings them back because he realizes that he is really in love with them and that Deanna is the one that convinces him to go with his heart. Anyhow, I've emasculated myself enough now. I'll end here.

  5. Oh my goodness Brent I have never laughed so hard at a comment. Don't worry, I have watched ALL the episodes! And I love that you used the word retarded, I haven't heard it used like this since high school. And I hope they bring back Stephanie because she is a doll, albeit she overdoes it a bit with the accessories. And I am glad you love Kaylyn enough to watch this show, even if you do feel emasculated. And I wish we watched watch the finale together...I am tired of watching it alone. Or maybe I'll get Danny to watch it with me... :)

I heard through the rumor mill Jillian is kicked off and then he brings her back and proposes...Is it bad that I check up on these things?? So happy I am not the only one... :)

  8. Gregg and I want Melissa to "win," but we think Molly might be top 2. Anyway, we are hooked! I was so glad when that psycho girl, Shannon, left. She seriously took it TOO far.
