But like always...
It was so good to come home.
Here are some highlights:
- Taking walks. Despite the humidity it was so beautiful there. Lots of green. I love that. And I loved the company.
- Visiting the North Carolina beach. Very different from Southern California beaches. I like theirs better.
- Walking out on the dock and watching the moon swim across the sky.
- Waking up at 4:45 am (their time...1:45 ours) and going to the beach to watch the sunrise. Don't forget this was #1 on my 75 list! That's a big deal!!!
- Shanghai rummy and Pop, the master.
- All of the family I met and will see again very, very soon.
- Asheville, NC and taking a drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway.
- Getting to take pictures of Kaylyn, Brent, and Avenell. (These are coming soon...hopefully Saturday)
- Pedicures and lots and lots and lots of laughing over silly things.
- All the small town shops.
- Getting up early to go to the traditional service. Singing hymns. And being inundated by a group of elderly women afterwards.
- Watching the first 3 episodes of Lost again and being able to pick them apart! (Okay...so maybe these scenes weren't the best to watch before flying home the next day, but a highlight regardless.)
- Slices of heaven. Trust me.
- Getting our flights switched from Atlanta to Cincinnati so we could fly together! (Thank you, Cheryl from Delta Airlines)
As you can see, it was a holiday that will forever be ingrained in my mind. Lots of memories made and lots of affirmation from God regarding things back home.
Next on the list:
A night with the girls.
Photo editing.
A night with the pirates.
A painting to be painted.
School to be started.
It's good to be back, friends...

Hey Kaylyn,
ReplyDeleteWe miss you being here, but are glad you've made it home safely. By the way, I wanted to thank you for inspiring my Kaylyn to redo the living room and kitchen. It is so much nicer this way. Anyhow, thanks for visiting, it was a blast.
